Schwobb, Peter Handke, Secret sentences from Jesus, André Dumal, Samuel Beckett Katharsis -project- caring for our souls Phase 1: The bird sings in the cage for love or for rage ![]() It contains the tools for caring of the body and the soul. Nothing to do with elevation: Katharsis is simply the repetition of the songs’ structure, of the exercises essential for the actor’s craft, and for the actor – thus for the human being who practices it. What is the role of the spectator in this process? He is invited to follow it, to be part of it, to listen to the songs, the sounds, to observe the score of the moving bodies, to hear the voices and understand the texts, which are not trying to tell a story, but to celebrate one moment, the Moment, that particular moment. We perceive the initial state, of our theatre, in this project. We distinguish it from a production, even though in our Laboratorio these two ways always feed each other". (Laboratorio) |
