Bartosz Szydłowski gives the audience an introduction to the performance with a multimedia narrative on the history of the town of Nowa Huta as both an inspiration and an unavoidable context for doing theatre and for exploring the possibility of building a community around it.

Dariusz Kosiński in conversation with Serge Ouaknine, author of "Książę Niezłomny". Studium i rekonstrukcja spektaklu Jerzego Grotowskiego i Teatru Laboratorium (Grotowski Institute, 2011), and with translator Juliusz Tyszka.

At the very first attempts at description the following problem arose:  how to translate and record (without film, photography or tape) what is untranslatable in this performance – the musicality of the voices and bodies of the group, their signifying space, their rhythms, the simultaneity of images and the “burning” of Prince . . .

In the land of chance meetings, booming techno and flamenco, Zano and Naima go back in time to the days of exile, hoping to learn something about themselves and find their place in the world.

Tony Gatlif won a directing award at the 2004 Cannes festival.



 

The Grotowski Institute hosts regular training sessions of the Indian martial art of Kalarippayattu led by Studio Kalari’s Sankar Sivasankaran Nair and Justyna Rodzińska-Nair.

Rena Mirecka’s collaboration with Double Edge Theatre in Ashfield (US)

In 2010 Bulzoni published La Sacra Canoa. Rena Mirecka dal Teatro Laboratorio di Jerzy Grotowski al Parateatro. Edited by Pier Pietro Brunelli and Luisa Tinti, the book is an extended and updated version of Podróż. Rena Mirecka aktorka Teatru Laboratorium, edited by Zbigniew Jędrychowski, Zbigniew Osiński and Grzegorz Ziółkowski (Grotowski Centre, 2005).
