STUDIO KALARI SUMMER SCHOOL

July 13–19, 2011

We would like to invite you to a unique meeting with two South Indian traditions of work with body: a martial art, kalarippayattu (Southern style) and a dance, bharatanatyam. These two forms of spiritual and artistic expression - despite their different characters - have in common power, dynamism, energy, co-ordination, beauty and precision. For beginners, the School will be an introduction in the two very rich systems of practice, and for the advanced students - a time to deepen their previous skills and develop them.

Trainings in the Southern style of kalarippayattu will be led by Sankar Lal Sivasankaran Nair and Justyna Rodzinska-Nair (Studio Kalari), and bharatanatyam classes will be given by Agnieszka Kapelko.
