Jerzy Grotowski’s The Constant Prince and Apocalypsis cum figuris THEATRE CINEMA Pina Bausch Cinema Room, 27 Rynek-Ratusz To mark the second anniversary of Pina Bausch’s death, join us for a programme of film screenings dedicated to the work of this exceptional artist. In May we will show a recording of Orpheus and Eurydice, a ballet-opera directed and choreographed by Pina Bausch, and two documentaries, One Day Pina Asked Me and Pina Bausch. The directors of these documentaries accompanied Pina’s ensamble both in Wuppertal and on tours in many parts of the world. The films include excerpts from performances and rehearsals from different periods of the ensemble’s work, and, above all, interviews with the Tanztheater’s actors and Pina Bausch. In June we will screen the documentary In Search of Dance, followed by Probe sacre, a recording of a rehearsal of The Rite of Spring, during which Pina Bausch, in her unique way, demonstrates choreography, and a recording of this performance which was a breakthrough moment in Pina Bausch’s career. Concluding the programme will be lectures by Pina Bausch researchers, Anna Królica and Aleksandra Dziurosz. 5 May (Thu), 6 pm One Day Pina Asked Me Directed by Chantal Akermann France/Belgium, 1983 Running time: 57' 19 May (Thu), 6 pm Pina Bausch Directed by Anne Linsel Germany, 2006 Running time: 43' 26 May (Thu), 6 pm Orpheus and Eurydice Directed and choreographed by Pina Bausch Music by Christoph Williband Gluck (1714-1787) Costumes by Rolf Borzik France, 2008 Running time: 104' More: www.studiokalari.art.pl, facebook/Studio-Kalari OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES: Teatr ZAR’s US tour 19–25 May San Francisco | St. Gregory's Episcopal Church Gospels of Childhood triptych San Francisco International Arts Festival (SFIAF) 29 May – 1 June Boston | Charleston Working Theatre Caesarean Section.
