THEATRE CINEMA: Odin Teatret The Echo of Silence │ production by Claudio Coloberti for Odin Teatret Film, 1993 │72’ The Echo of Silence is a performance which describes the vicissitudes of the actor’s voice of and the strategy they invent to "interpret" a text. In theatre, which is apparently free of the codes that we know in music, the actor needs to create a labyrinth of rules, references and resistance to follow or refuse so as to achieve a personal expression and recognize their own voice. 17 November {Thu} 7 pm 21 November {Mon} 8 pm

Crossing the Boundaries: Songs of Belarusian Polesia Belarusian song workshop led by Olga EmalianchikContakt: Justyna Rodzińska-Nair, justyna@grotowski-institute.art.pl 3 December {Sat} 6 pm Work demonstration and screening of Olmany Artistic supervision: Jagna Knittel and Przemysław Wasilkowski Olga Emalianchik is an anthropologist working at Polotsk University. She is currently the leader of Guda, a Byelorussian group that uses ancient vocal techniques to perform ritual songs, and the former leader of Kniazyc. Olga specializes in the ritual song traditions of Central and Northern Belarus and Eastern Polesia. Between 2002 and 2005 she conducted song workshops in Poland.
