Paweł Passini
 the director of neTTheatre. He graduated from the Theatre Academy in Warsaw and the Academy of Theatre Practices at the Gardzienice Centre for Theatre Practices and is a co-founder and member of Orkiestra Antyczna [Ancient Orchestra], which later became the Chorea Theatre Association. He has directed Met emoi..., based on Euripides’ Iphigenia at Aulis (Gardzienice, 2002); Dybbuk, based on the work of S. An-ski, M. Pavić and E. Jabes (Teatr Nowy in Poznań, 2004); S. Wyspiański’s The Curse (Jan Kochanowski Theatre in Opole, 2004); Z. Krasiński’s Un-Divine Comedy (Teatr Stary in Kraków, 2005); Amshel Kafka (Polski Theatre in Wrocław, 2006); J. Słowacki’s Kordian (Teatr Polski in Warsaw, 2006). His original productions include Alice in Wonderland, based on Lewis Carroll’s story (Spalarnia Odpadów Szpitalnych in Warsaw, 2005; Kulturbreurei in Berlin, 2006); The Defunct. Theatrical Digressions Based on Tadeusz Kantor’s Writings and Bruno Schulz’s Visions (2007); The Gates of Paradise (2007); Resting (2007); Nothing That Is Human (2008); Singing in the Void (2008); Tehillim/Psalms (2008); Hamlet 44 (2008); The Other Room (2008); All Kinds of Death (2009); UFO Meeter (2009); Turandot (2009); If, based on Iphigenia at Aulis, in co-production with neTTheatre and the Cyprus-based MITOS Centre of Performing ArtS (2010); Kabbalah (2010); Petit Pets Petty Secrets (2010); Yerma, a graduation production at the Theater Academy in Warsaw (2011); Artaud. A Doppelganger and His Theater at Studio Theater in Warsaw (2011); Dictionary of the Khazars at the Kochanowski Theater in Opole (2012).

His numerous awards and honours include the Herald Angel Award and the Total Theater Award for Turandot at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (2011); the Magnolia Award for Turandot at the Counterpoint Festival in Szczecin (2011); the Grand Prix of the Bydgoszcz Premiere Festival for Turandot (2010); the special prize of the Modern Polish Drama Contest (MKiDN) for Turandot (2010); the first prize at R@port Festival in Gdynia for All Kinds of Death (2009); a directing award of the Modern Polish Drama Contest (MKiDN) for All Kinds of Death (2009); a Polityka Passport nomination for theater (2008); an individual award of the Modern Polish Drama Contest (MKiDN) for Resting and honourable mentions for directing and music for Nothing That is Human (2008); a TVP Kultura’s Culture Guarantees Prize for Resting (2007/2008 season); a scholarship of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage (2007); the Golden Mask for the best production of the 2005/2006 season for Euripides’ Iphigenia at Aulis; the main prize of the Opole Festival for directing the Curse, based on the play by S. Wyspiański.
