Compagnia Sineglossa
is a group of Italian artists from different backgrounds who explore the relationship between light and human bodies in live action.
Founded in 2006 by Federico Bomba, Luca Poncetta and Simona Sala, the group has developed a poetics that eschews Pop Art, cynicism, nihilism and divertissement. Every one of their performances is crafted with surgical precision: the breathing human lighting software connects to the performers and their fragile bodies to create a visual dramaturgy. Handicraft is essential in Sineglossa’s work: the group produces “high resolution” analogue performances without the use of digital technology. Like all good craftsmen, Sineglossa design and build different tools, depending on the specific artistic need, to create a live performance.
Sineglossa have shown their work in several Italian and International Festivals like Romaeuropa, Fast, Civitanova Danza, Queer Zagreb and Fringe Festival in Edinburgh.
