Tickets: 10 PLN

First episode of the Heresy saga. Theology is the source of Joan of Arc’s visions – it makes them possible and gives them shape. Joan feels the (all-too)-human need to learn the tools that – by the irony of fate or conscious choice – will bring about her condemnation to the stake. A conflicting visual and aural dialogue is enacted between Joan and her hagiographer, and between the performer and her director (who are the same person).
Joan imitates and repeats, transforming what she has learnt into a private language: relevant, alive and original. This is her real salvation and condemnation.

She will learn what she has to from her own wounds.

“Heresy”: undogmatic visions of the world

“Heresy” is a long-term project that combines various art forms, including theatre, performance, music, and installation, based around the figure/idea of Joan of Arc. Sineglossa sets up events in theatrical spaces, streets, squares, art galleries and churches, taking as a starting point the poetics it has developed in recent years. The work is modular. Each chapter of the “saga” is assigned a different colour and explores a different subject. The parts can be performed together, in a random order (with each change in order affecting the meaning of the individual parts), or presented as stand-alone performances.
“Heresy” is created by the founders of Sineglossa, and features a number of guest artists who influence the aesthetics of each part and enable the “Heresy” concept to grow.
