Participants will learn traditional ritual songs of Belarusian Polesia.



Olga Emalianchik
is an anthropologist working at Polotsk University. She is currently the leader of Guda, a Belarusian group that performs ritual songs using ancient vocal techniques, and was the leader of Kniazyc. Emalianchik specializes in the ritual song traditions of Central and Northern Belarus and Eastern Polesia. Since 2002 she has taught song workshops in Poland.

Project run by the Panorama of Cultures Association with support from by the Department of Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of the “2011 and 2012 Joint Polish-Belarusian Activities” competition
