Tomasz Krzyżanowski is a composer, arranger, producer and multi-instrumentalist. He creates music for theatre, film and arts projects. He collaborates with Teatr Chorea (Łódź, Poland), where he has been music supervisor since 2004. Together with members of Teatr Chorea, he regularly gives music and theatre workshops for actors, musicians, dancers and performers all over the world (RedCat and Calarts, Los Angeles; Centre for Arts and Culture, Delphi; Meyerhold Centre, Moscow; Atalaya Theatre, Seville; Giving Voice Festival, Aberystwyth). Since 2011, he has been the conductor of the Great Choir of Young Chorea in Łódź. He has composed or co-composed music for plays including Playing Mr Cogito; Grotowski: An Attempt to Retreat; The Bacchae (dir. Tomasz Rodowicz); Tehillim/Psalms (dir. Paweł Passini); Antigone (dir. Dorota Porowska); Tov (dir. Rosanna Gamson); Roosters, Badgers and Other Goats (dir. Iga Załęczna); and Mnemonics (dir. Lena Rogowska). He has written or arranged music for concerts such as Antiquity/Trans/Formation, Songs of the World and Gilgamesh. He created music for Oratorium Dance Project, a show featuring the Symphonic Orchestra and Choir of the Łódź Philharmonic and 100 amateur dancers and choristers, which was named Łódź’s Cultural Event of the Year for 2011 and won the Energia Kultury Award.
