Self-diagnosis in Actor Training |
Lecture by Piotr Bursiewicz Fri 11 April 2014, 6pm Na Grobli Studio Admission free Open lecture in Polish with English interpretation This lecture will explore the issue of full musculoskeletal self-diagnosis in actor training. The speaker will posit the need to introduce various kinds of diagnosis to the actor’s work, involving a form of medical and physiotherapy supervision enabling effective prevention of strains and injuries. In addition, performers will learn about dysfunctions that may occur in training or performance. Regular and complete musculoskeletal diagnosis helps to increase body awareness, fully reflecting the performer’s physical shape and preparation, which may help to achieve progress, plan training and significantly reduce pain.
