Maria Porzyc was born in 1983 in Lublin. She graduated in ceramics and glass from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroc³aw. In 2006 she branched out into performance art. In 2011 she completed her graduation project focusing on the links between ceramics and performance. Her interest in art happening live and improvisation led in 2008 to a collaboration with Pawe³ Passini and neTTheatre. Since then she has mainly worked with new media, designing multimedia sets (Hamlet 44, Artaud: A Doppelganger and His Theatre, Morrison/The Son of Death, Wanda, The Gates of Paradise), some of which she has produced (Turandot, Petit Pets Petty Secrets, Puppet. The Book of Splendour). She collaborates with Chorea Theatre Association (projections for The Brain directed by Tomasz Rodowicz). Her sets and projections for Morrison/The Son of Death earned her an honourable mention at the International Puppet Theatre Festival in Toruñ. She utilizes video, various styles of animation, and interactive visuals. Alongside her theatre work, she also works as a VJ for Blue Rabbit and Tatvamasi.
