SOURCE TECHNIQUES – SOURCES OF TECHNIQUES

20 June – 20 July 2007


Directed by: Jaroslaw Fret and Dr. Grzegorz Ziolkowski





Programme of the Atelier includes:

Openings (20th – 23rd June) – presentations of performances, concerts and demonstrations of work open for wider audiences. Presentations will be made by artists who have been invited to collaborate with the Grotowski Institute. 

Courses (25th June – 17th July) – work sessions which embrace independent artistic lines developed by the invited artists. The programme also consists of theoretical classes and film presentations, with introductions.

TYPES OF SESSIONS

The programme of the Atelier Source Techniques – Techniques of Sources will be realised during:


  • Silentoria – which assume being active in perception: that is, when silence is being activated
  • Performatoria – which assume being active in action: that is, when action is being activated
  • Conversatoria – which assume being active in conversation: that is, when the word is being activated
  • Repetitoria – which assume being active in repetition: that is, when memory is being activated
