About the editorial team of Didaskalia

Anna R. Burzynska – Editor of Didaskalia since 2000. Ph.D. student at the Jagiellonian University, associate of the Goethe Institute. Awarded a Foundation for Polish Science Prize for Young Scholars in 2006. Reviewer for Tygodnik Powszechny. Author of the book Mechanika cudu (2005), and of numerous texts that have appeared in journals and collected volumes (Notatnik Teatralny, Teatr, Rita Baum).

Tadeusz Kornas – Chief editor of Didaskalia. Doctor in Humanities at the Jagiellonian University (2004), lecturer in the Department of Theatre within the Faculty of Polish Philology at the Jagiellonian University. Author of the books: Wlodzimierz Staniewski i Osrodek Praktyk Teatralnych 'Gardzienice' (Homini, Krakow 2004), Dziady – od Wyspianskiego do Grzegorzewskiego (together with Grzegorz Niziolek, Ksiegarnia Akademicka, Krakow 1999), Polskie alternatywne srodowiska teatralne 1980–1989 (LDK, Lodz 1994), and of numerous texts in journals and collected volumes (among others, Theater der Zeit, Theaterschrift, Dialog, Teatr).

Marcin Koscielniak – Editor of Didaskalia since2001. Graduate of the Department of Theatre at the Jagiellonian University (2003). Leader of the band 'Mannequin' (LP Mannequin, 2003). Currently reviewer for Tygodnik Powszechny. Has also published texts in the journal Dialog.

Agnieszka Marszalek – Editor of Didaskalia since 2001. Lecturer in the Department of Theatre within the Faculty of Polish Philology at the Jagiellonian University. Author of the books: Repertuar teatru polskiego we Lwowie 1876–1881 (1992), Repertuar teatru polskiego we Lwowie 1881–1886 (1993), Repertuar teatru polskiego we Lwowie 1864–1875 (2003), Lwowskie przedsiebiorstwa teatralne w latach 1872–1886 (1999) – for which she was given a President of the University’s award. Recently, co-author of the theatre dictionary, Slownik wiedzy o teatrze (2005). She has published numerous articles relating to theatre history and drama; and writes regularly for Didaskalia.

Marta Steiner – Editor of Didaskalia since 2007. Doctor in Humanities at the University of Wroclaw (2001). Lecturer in the Department of the Theory of Culture and Visual Arts at the University of Wroclaw. From 1999–2002 she resided in China and Hong Kong, where she conducted ethnographical research on the theatre. She published the book Geneza teatru w swietle antropologii kulturowej, in 2003.
