Rena Mirecka

Rena Mirecka. Phot. Paola TorricelliWas an actress of Jerzy Grotowski’s Teatr Laboratorium (Laboratory Theatre) from 1959 until its dissolution in the year 1984. She performed in all of the company's productions, in such widely known pieces as Akropolis, The Constant Prince and Apocalypsis cum Figuris. In the beginning of 1990s she settled in Sardinia (Italy) and, together with a group of friends, has founded the International Centre of Work Prema Sayi. Drawing on the foundation of her experiences during her work at the Teatr Laboratorium, Rena Mirecka conducts meetings and workshops for participants from all over the world.

When you take part in the Laboratory of Research The Way, try to be active. Burn out all the tensions, all the blocks of energy, dance out the darkness, scream the pain out to the point of convulsion. Be active up to the point where the action will stop itself (...).
