| On the Cohesion of Acting and Dance |

Participants of the work session will work on an etude based on their own improvisations, aiming at creating of an individual composition inspired by music accompaniment. An emotion, a phantasy, and imagination appear from the analysis of everyday life and child’s gestures. Referring to individuality, in the process of search, music material releases and enables interpretation and emboidery that is characteristic to every nature, giving to it its own rhythm. Our aim will be “studying” ourselves in the theatre dimension, based on individual experience, as a dancer or actor. Daily schedule will include: class, training, physical warm-up, work on technique and learning movement variations, as well as improvisation and individual composition. The session is aimed at people with the preliminary knowledge of classical dance, as well as actors interested in techniques of theatre movement, students of various movement disciplines interested in theatre and unconventional dance expression. Participants are expected to have practical experience in the aforementioned disciplines. |
