The Grotowski Institute also hosts regular training sessions of the Indian martial art of Kalarippayattu led by Sankar Sivasankaran Nair and Justyna Rodzińska-Nair of the Studio Kalari (the southern style –tekkan).

Outside Events

6 September – 4 October

Venue: Les Kurbas Centre, Kiev

A series of talks on Polish contemporary theatre organized in collaboration with the Grotowski Institute as part of “Poland – Ukraine Theatre”.
On 6 September, Anna Sielatycka will deliver a keynote talk at the Los Kurbas Centre. Other talks will focus on: Juliusz Osterwa (13 September; Wanda Świątkowska, Jagiellonian University), Tadeusz Kantor (20 September; Marta Kufel, Jagiellonian University), Jerzy Grotowski (27 September; Bruno Chojak, Grotowski Institute) and musicality theatre (4 October; Małgorzata Jabłońska, Jagiellonian University).
This will be the first stage of a joint Polish-Ukrainian project including a Wrocław conference on contemporary Ukrainian theatre scheduled for November 2010
